Privacy Policy

Last updated July 14, 2026

Foundryard is a network where founders choose to share their work in public. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the controls you have. The short version: you decide what's visible, we never sell your data, and we never store your raw Stripe data.

What we collect

  • Account basics — when you sign in with Google or GitHub, we receive your name, email address, and avatar from that provider. We never see or store a password.
  • Profile content — everything you add yourself: headline, bio, location, skills, projects, links, and your profile photo. This content exists to be shown to others.
  • Revenue aggregates — if you connect a Stripe restricted key, we compute and cache aggregate figures only: current MRR, subscriber count, and a monthly revenue series. Raw Stripe objects (customers, invoices, subscriptions) are read transiently and never stored.
  • Usage counters — profile view counts and link click counts, stored as plain totals with no visitor identity attached.

What we use it for

  • Rendering your public profile and the discovery feed and leaderboard.
  • Connection requests and your network.
  • Keeping the service working, safe, and free of fake accounts.

We do not sell personal data, run third-party ad trackers, or share your data with advertisers.

Your visibility controls

  • Revenue is opt-in and has three levels: Public, Connections only, or Private. The leaderboard ranks public revenue only.
  • Profile content you publish (bio, projects, links) is public by design — it's your page.
  • You can disconnect Stripe at any time in Settings, which deletes the stored key and cached aggregates immediately. You can also revoke the key from the Stripe dashboard.

Cookies

We use cookies for one thing: keeping you signed in (and, briefly, remembering a username you claimed before signing up). No cross-site tracking cookies.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account yourself, anytime, from Settings → Danger zone. You'll be asked to confirm by typing your username; if you have an active Premium subscription, you'll need to cancel it first (Settings → Manage billing) so you aren't charged again.

Deletion is immediate and permanent. It removes:

  • Your profile, sign-in identity, and username (which becomes available to others).
  • All projects, links, and uploaded images (profile photo, project logos).
  • Your encrypted Stripe keys and all cached revenue aggregates.
  • Your connections and pending requests, and your leaderboard placement.

One thing we can't delete: records Stripe keeps for payment processing (invoices, receipts) are retained by Stripe as required by financial regulations.

Your rights

Wherever you are — and specifically under GDPR if you're in the EU — you can request a copy of your data or correct it. Email privacy@foundryard.dev and we'll handle it within 30 days. Deletion doesn't require an email — it's self-serve, as above.
